Marilena Dimopoulou is an undergraduate student in the School of Architectural Engineering at the Technical University of Crete. Her research interests focus on the dynamic interaction of the human body with space and technology. Her close relation with dance provided her with the stimulation necessary to explore kinesthetics and in particular the sensory and embodied experience in space as a means to enhance architectural experience. Furthermore, one of her goals is to collect and understand architecture related issues in the fields of environmental psychology and philosophy of perception in order to guide the creation of human-centered conditions in urban space combining the use of virtual and physical interactive systems. She has participated in several workshops in Greece and abroad working on the design of extreme environments' habitats and ecological solutions for a “dying planet”.
