Stratos Georgoulakis is a software engineer. He graduated from the Department of Computer Science of the University of Crete in 2005. He received his M.Eng. in Computer and Information Sciences from the School of Production Engineering and Management of the Technical University of Crete in 2011. Currently he is a PhD candidate at the same institution, at the School of Architectural Engineering. During 2005-2007 he worked as a researcher in the Laboratory of Distributed Multimedia Information Systems and Applications at the Technical University of Crete (MUSIC/TUC). He has worked in many R&D EU projects, as a developer, coordinator and project manager. Since 2005 he works as a freelancer analyst-developer. During this period he also tutored informatics and gave lectures in various public institutions. He has significant experience in the organisation and management of research projects, in the design and development of modern distributed information systems and applications. In 2009 he joined the team of systems administrators at the Department of Architecture where, since 2012, he focuses his research interests in the design and programming of kinetic systems targeted on living space and its association with human behaviour. His work at the TIE Lab has been presented at the 9th International Conference on Intelligent Environments (IE 2013), in Athens, Greece.
